At VolunTutorsFL, we are dedicated to providing primarily elementary and middle-school students with tutors, while also providing high-school students with service hours for a Bright Futures Scholarship.
Our Board of Directors includes educators from both St. John’s Virtual School, and Palencia Elementary School.
As most high-schoolers and high school parents are aware, to qualify for a Bright Futures scholarship requires 100 service/volunteer hours, (if using volunteer hours instead of paid work). The purpose of VolunTutorsFL is to make it easier for high-school students who want to tutor to have that ability to not only help other students but gain service hours for it. On a parent’s perspective, it gives your high school students hours, and your elementary/middle-school students free tutors. In the end, it’s clearly a win-win solution.
Through free volunteering to students, we are giving children in kindergarten-eighth grade a better chance to shine in all their core classes.
